Your  domain name determines your online identity.

People will easily recognize your site as a professional business place than with top level domains such as ".net", ".org", ".info", etc which have  a non profitable image, even though it may not be the case always.

2) MLD-Mid Level Domain name- determines your identity. 

It should describe your site accurately and at the same time attract potential customers. 

Mid level domain name can have maximum of 67 characters. 

 It is known that Netscape browser allows only 59 characters and in yahoo directory only 54.  

So make it short. And it should be easily pronounceable and easy to spell. 

Your customers should be able to remember your domain name easily and at the same time it should describe the purpose of your website in one or two keywords.  The more people remember your simple and short domain name, the more traffic; hence the profit.

Having your principle high profitable keyword in your domain name can bring you targeted visitors easily from search engines. 

      So your domain name

  • should be similar to your website name,

  • reflect the theme of your site,

  • contains high profitable keywords,

  • easy to remember and

  • should have a top level domain name in '.com'. 

In the vastly over crowded internet market place . . . . . . . . . 

it is very difficult to have a domain name that satisfies all these requirements.
